Being able to participate in this race was something which was not only a race for “Run For Rob”, but a true challenge for myself personally. As the cannon blew for the start of the swim at 7am it was exactly 111 days from major surgery. I was not sure I would be physically ready for such an extreme event, but I was determined not to let anything get in my way.

It was a perfect day and one I will remember as one of the best races of my life.
